GlobalGAP integrated management protocol is
used by all members of Elios Fruit during production, while an ISO22000
protocol is used in the packing house for all packaging and standardization
procedures. At the moment these systems are in the last step of being verified
and issued a certification, a process which will be over by the beginning of
the new harvest. What differentiates Elios Fruit from other
cooperatives and companies is the fact that monitoring all production cares is
possible remotely with the use of an interactive agricultural model. The entire process is verified by a protocol
for vertical guaranteed product safety (e-cert guarantee) and a “guaranteed
product” label is provided. In addition, an interactive traceability system is
applied from farm to consumer.
