Producers Organization Elios
In the center of Lakonia, next to the fertile plain of Skala and near the ancient city of Elos, lies the village of Grammousa.
There is the headquarters of the Agricultural Cooperative ELIOS, which was founded in 2007 and in 2018 was recognized as a Producers' Organization, named after General Elios, who according to Pausanias was the founder of the ancient city of Elos.
Elios is made up of 25 producers, who, by adopting modern cultivation methods and applying the principles of integrated production management, managed in a short time to make their products popular throughout Greece. On 31/01/2018, the producers of the Cooperative were recognized as a Producers' Organization - A.S. Fruit and Vegetable Organization of Grammoussa "Elios" for the production of pomegranate, nectarine and peach. The Producers' Organization has been included in Measure 9 of the RDP 2014-2020.
What we do
The Elios Agricultural Cooperative is a model of collective effort in Laconia. It produces, packages, standardizes and markets fine citrus fruits, oranges, pomegranates and nectarines, offering high quality products to the domestic and international market.
With its new, modern and certified facilities, it ensures excellent processing and preservation of freshness. Supporting the producer and the land, Elios combines tradition with innovation, offering taste and value from Laconia to every consumer.
